Pretty Patreaties
June 4, 2012
Last night, I taught the kids about poems and poetry readings.
Then they folded some papers together and we made their very first poetry chapbooks.
“I’m ripping up a red ball
for my poem.
Now we won’t have
a red ball anymore.”
from Goodbye Your Name Is
by Anya
“I’m making rice
but it’s just so
hard for me.
I’m making it for
school for a
snack
snack.”
from Making Up New Friends
by Ezra
Click HERE: Pretty Patreaties, for a pdf copy of the poems.
I’m so proud!
