The Bradford-Ewart List of Top Ten

Movies of the Decade

These lists were hard to decide upon, so many great films this past decade! We each made our own, and we weren’t allowed to have the same film on both lists. They are the movies that have been the most important to us. The girl’s favourites, Wall-E, Shrek, Up, The Incredibles et cetera didn’t make the lists, because, well, they’re babies. Enjoy!

Lindsay’s List:

number one:

Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner dir. Zacharias Kunuk (2001)

number two:

Scared Sacred dir. Velcrow Ripper (2004)

number three:

My Winnipeg dir. Guy Maddin (2007)

number four:

Les Triplettes de Belleville dir. Sylvain Chomet (2003)

number five:

Me and You and Everyone We Know dir. Miranda July (2005)

number six:

Lord of the Rings Trilogy dir. Peter Jackson (2001-2003)

number seven:

X-Men Trilogy dir. Brian Singer (2000-2006)*

number eight:

Adaptation dir. Spike Jonze (2002)

number nine:

Spellbound dir. Jeffrey Blitz (2002)

number ten:

Zoolander dir. Ben Stiller (2001)

*Brett Ratner directed X3, but that was, by far, the most inferior of the three films, so I didn’t put him up there.
